Test station for electrical safety tests

Conceived to be integrated in production lines, the CFF98/01 test station allows performing electric safety tests (absorption, leakage, short circuit, earth, dielectric strength and insulation) on finished products in compliance with accident prevention and product quality requirements provided by the European standards (EN 50335-1,CEI 61-50, VDE, EN 29000, ISO 9000).The equipment CFF98/01 is controlled by a rugged industrial PC intended for operation in heavy environmental conditions.


Its simple and efficacious user interface allows adjustment of test settings, controlling tests and processing statistics; in addition, the equipment can exchange data with other systems (PLC, Information systems, etc) and manage barcode readers, safety barriers, etc.At the end of each test sequence the machine also prints a certificate with the relevant test results and additional information such as date, batch no., etc. Subsequently, periodical checks on the equipment calibration may be carried out by TND Maintenance engineers or alternatively using a suitable calibration sample (supplied on demand).


Cooling coil winding machine

The proposed system allows automatic manufacturing of freezer evaporating circuits – i.e. coiling of an aluminum tube around freezer casings with different size and features (rectangular/square shape – with/without compressor recess). The system is equipped with an innovative feeding and guiding device, ensuring a precise application of the aluminum tube and preserving both aesthetic and functional features of the manufactured casing.


In addition, the substitution of the traditional pneumatic arm with a controlled powered axis allows the use of very light panels for the assembling of winding jigs, thus drastically reducing the duration of downtimes for the change of the product range .


Its user-friendly interface makes it easier to adjust the operating parameters and also to carry out maintenance operations, as it allows checking the state of all machine devices in real time and commanding their functions manually.The machine architecture  is flexible and can be customized according to the Clients needs so that it can easily be introduced in existing production processes.

Portable datalogger model DLP05

The DLP05 is a portable 24-channel datalogger expressely designed for the railway industry, which can be connected to two-wire transmitters with 15 Vdc supply voltage and 4÷20 mA and other sensor types (PTC, TC, etc.).The DLP05 is specifically designed for the measurement of pneumatic pressure but, thanks to it great versatility, it can be easily configured for the acquisition and recording of other quantities.


The DLP05 consists of a standard rack case 4 units size 19” that can be powered either by the service sockets normally available on locomotives or, on request, by battery (optional). It contains both interfacing and acquisition hardware, thus it can be connected to transducers for measurement and recording directly on site. The DLP05 is equipped with service display visualizing acquisition data (operating state, start and stop time, nr. of acquired channels, elapsed time, etc.). In addition, the display shows the acquired values in real time by pressing the ACK button.


The DLP05 can be serially connected to a PC with dedicated software for the visualization, management and storage of on-site measures. The management software also allows the configuration of the acquisition channels (type of transducer and measurement quantity) and test settings (test duration, visualization colour of channels, n. of digits, channel enabling/disabling).

Lab data acquisition system model DL2000

DL 2000 is a multipurpose data acquisition system for laboratory use designed to ensure a high reliability as to measurement accuracy and storage and management of measurement recordings.The system is composed of a remote data acquisition unit containing all necessary acquisition and control electronics, a supervising PC with user-friendly software for the management of the climatic chamber.


The two units communicate via RS232 or RS485 connection depending on the system configuration. In fact, the system can be structured either with a supervising PC for each acquisition unit, or with an only supervising PC for all acquisition units.
The acquired data are always saved on a disk-on-chip mounted on board of the acquisition unit, therefore ensuring the total recovery of data in case of accidental disconnection of the supervising PC.Using the control panel, the operator can easily set up the test parameters and in case remotely carry out the necessary adjustment of supply voltage, temperature or other measuring quantities inside the test area.
All measured quantities are displayed in both numeric and graphic formats.


By means of powerful utilities (customizable in accordance with the customers requirements) it is possible to carry out a wide range of operations, as well as save the results and generate the relevant diagrams along with the other quantities acquired in real time.
Each acquisition unit can manage more than 300 quantities, whereas the supervising unit has almost no limit.  The system characteristics are defined in accordance with the customer’s specific demands, thus the below mentioned features are just an example of a possible configuration.

Data acquisition system model View DL

The system consists in a 3 unit standard rack equipped with 16 acquisition boards each one providing 8 generic channels for voltage acquisition. Each board is also equipped with a temperature sensor for automatic compensation of thermocouples and a voltage reference allowing the self-test of the entire acquisition chain during operation.


The supplied control software also provides for the automatic adjustment of offset and gain settings for the different amplification stages of each channel. This unique feature drastically reduces the time  needed for system recalibration and verification as compared to traditional acquisition boards. Additional offset and gain values can also be parametrized by the user to convert the input signals in engineering quantities in conformity with the various industrial standards.The modular architecture, the high flexibility as regards interface to most diffuse measuring signal standards, the good acquisition rate make, in our opinion, the View DL Multichannel system suitable for the most different applications and particularly in monitoring and/or inspection systems.
As to expandability, the system capability is far-reaching, since a single station can easily exceed 2000 acquisition channels.


Originating from the former DL series, the DL2001 system is conceived for lab data acquisition and is based on the Windows platform: in this case the system has been applied to a climatic chamber used for temperature and power consumption measurement.

Volumetric dosing and assembling systems

The systems are designed to fill automatically containers of different size using a product volumetric dosing system with 0,1 gr. resolution.


The systems are equipped with a precision Mettler scale – a feedback signal after weighing allows automatic correction of the product dose ensuring constant product quantity.


The filled containers are subsequently completed with the relevant accessories, e.g. plungers, caps, barcode labels, etc.
Suitable vibratory feeders deliver all assembled parts to the relevant stations; after dosing and assembling, pieces are transferred to a weighing station for final check and finally conveyed to the relevant delivery skid in accordance to the test result (PASS or FAIL).


The systems are governed by a programmable logic controller and equipped with a PC serving as supervisor and user interface.

FIFO/LIFO buffer conveyor for PCB handling

The FIFO/LIFO buffer is a stacking conveyorthat – if placed along a PCB production line(SMT or traditional type) – allows smartaccumulation of PCBs between twoproduction cells, reducing short-timeproduction stops normally occurring in anautomatic production line.

The buffer can operate in 3 different modes:

ON LINE: The PCB accumulation function is enabled, thus the system determines if a PCB must be transferred, stacked or delivered according to the state of the subsequent production machine. ON LINE  (pass-through): The buffer runs normally, but the stacking and loading/ unloading functions are disabled. OFF LINE: in this operating mode the buffer does not interact with the production line and enables the manual commands for servicing operations.
The buffer is governed by an industrial PC with suitable management software that, besides control of the system mechanization, functions as an interface to external devices, such as barcode readers, X-ray testing systems, etc.

Thanks to its innovative PCB handling system, the buffer conveyor can easily adapt to any type of PCB with a drastic reduction of adjustment times. In fact, if equipped with the optional powered flank adjustment system, the buffer carries out all format change operations automatically without the intervention of the line operator.
The system is also provided with standard (SMEMA or Siemens) interface with the production line.
Thanks to its high flexibility, the FIFO/LIFO buffer conveyor can be customized in accordance to any specific demand of the Customer.

Automatic test equipment for clutch mechanisms

The equipment allows testing of clutch mechanisms by performing hysteresis loops of clutch springs and measuring the plate lift. The test cycles are:
  • HYSTERESIS 1: measurement of the hysteresis on bearing (bearing load)
  • HYSTERESIS 2: measurement of the hysteresis on plate
  • PL: measurement of the plate lift

Measurement can be carried out in either TEST or PRODUCT CERTIFICATION mode. In the first mode, the equipment measures some points defined by the user at the speed of 3 mm/s, whereas in the second mode the equipment runs the test sequence at the speed of 0,5 mm/sec, measures all points and draws the relevant curve in a x-y chart.


The equipment consists of a test bench equipped with a powered rotary table with 3 seats (one for each product type) with relevant locking system for the mounting of the testing pieces; besides the piece motion and actuating devices, the bench also contains the necessary control and measurement electronics.


The measurement system is composed of suitable position transducers and two load cells (lower and upper side), whereas the actuation of the clutch mechanisms is performed by two oleodynamic cylinders with precision transducer onboard. 
The available rotary table is equipped with suitable sensors to ensure the actual presence of the testing piece and its correct positioning below the test station.

The equipment is governed by a control cabinet comprising an industrial PC, the necessary management and acquisition software and a laser printer for the output of test reports and diagrams.
